what are vascular lesions
Vascular lesions are usually red or bruised thread-like veins or papules that can vary in size, shape and frequency in a specific area. Some examples of vascular lesions include telangiectasia (fine broken capillaries), spider veins, varicose veins, and birthmarks (caused by blood vessels). Such lesions can be formed as a result of natural or environmental factors including sun exposure, genetic makeup, or simply natural aging. Patients with the skin condition rosacea will notice the existence of vascular lesions on the face.
how yellowbeam vascular treatment works
To treat unsightly veins, our medical aesthetician will carefully apply energy to the target area and heat up the hemoglobin (blood) within the dilated blood vessels. The heat destroys the structure of the dilated blood vessels, allowing the body to naturally dismantle the damaged tissue. Every treatment is customized to a patient’s specific needs and characteristics. In every case, our goal is to maximize the delivery of energy for optimal results, while minimizing patient discomfort.
