YELLOWBEAM SKIN REJUVENATION

What is Aging Skin?

Over the course of time, various changes take place that contribute to the appearance of aging skin. In particular, lower levels of collagen and elastin in the dermis, loss of fat and bone shrinkage, will compromise the skin’s support system, causing wrinkles and sagging skin.

Signs of aging skin:

•    Fine lines and wrinkles
•    Lax skin
•    Dehydrated skin
•    Rough texture
•    Uneven skin tone
•    Transparent, thin skin

How to Prevent Wrinkles and Aging Skin?

While wrinkles are a natural part of aging, there are various ways we can slow the aging process and prolong youthful skin.

Healthy skin comes from within, which makes it crucial to adopt a healthy diet full of vitamins and antioxidants to fight oxidative stress and thus premature aging. We should also consider regular exercise to help reduce stress which is found to damage the DNA and shorten the lifespan of skin cells.

It is also very important to implement a proper skincare routine to feed the skin with proper vitamins, antioxidants, peptides and growth factors to promote healthy, beautiful-looking skin. At GMA, we recommend our patients to incorporate vitamins A, C & E, which are main ingredients in our Environ AVST 1, in their skincare to normalize the skin’s functions and maintain skin health. Our skin needs to eat healthy as much as we do. When the skin is healthier, it will look better.

Unprotected sun exposure is the number one culprit to aging skin. In fact, it is proven that 80% of premature aging in skin is associated with UV damage. This is the reason we stress the importance of applying sunscreen on a daily and regular basis.
