• Enlarged pores

How Does the LHALA® Korean Glass Peel Work?

The effectiveness of a skin treatment depends not only on the ingredients it contains, but also on how those ingredients are delivered to the skin. LHALA utilizes INCUBE® 504, an advanced ingredient delivery technology designed to gradually and evenly deliver three key active components: LHA (Lipo-Hydroxy Acid), H2sol™ Technology, and Barrier-Supporting Phospholipids.

This controlled delivery helps optimize ingredient absorption while supporting skin comfort, hydration, and skin barrier integrity throughout the rejuvenation process.

LHA (Lipo-Hydroxy Acid)

Gentle Precision Exfoliation

LHA is a next-generation derivative of salicylic acid that exfoliates the skin more gradually than traditional peeling acids. By promoting healthy skin cell turnover, it helps refine pores, smooth skin texture, reduce congestion, brighten the complexion, and improve overall skin clarity, all while minimizing irritation.

H2sol™ Technology

Supporting Skin Regeneration

H2sol™ is LHALA’s patented regenerative technology. It is designed to support fibroblast activity—the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin—helping promote healthier skin renewal while protecting the skin throughout the treatment process.

Barrier-Supporting Phospholipids

Repair While You Renew

LHALA incorporates phospholipids that closely resemble those naturally found within the skin barrier. These lipids help replenish moisture, strengthen the skin’s protective barrier, and support a more comfortable recovery, leaving the skin feeling hydrated, resilient, and healthy after treatment.

LHALA® is an advanced Korean skin rejuvenation peel that uses gentle exfoliating acids to encourage healthy skin renewal. Unlike many traditional chemical peels that focus primarily on exfoliation, LHALA combines advanced ingredient delivery technology with regenerative and barrier-supporting ingredients to improve hydration and overall skin health while minimizing irritation and downtime.

Not always. Many patients experience little to no visible peeling following treatment, while others may notice mild dryness or light flaking over the following few days. Visible peeling is not required for the treatment to be effective, as healthy skin renewal continues gradually beneath the surface.

Many patients may notice brighter, smoother skin after just one treatment. However, for optimal results and improving concerns such as fine lines, epidermal pigmentation, acne, enlarged pores, or uneven texture, a series of 4–6 treatments, performed every 2–4 weeks, is typically recommended. The general protocol is to perform the first 2 treatments 2 weeks apart, followed by monthly treatments. During consultation, the Skin Expert will develop a personalized treatment plan based on your skin concerns and goals.

LHALA is designed with minimal to no downtime in mind. You may experience mild redness immediately after treatment, which typically resolves within a few hours. Some patients may notice slight dryness or light flaking for several days, but most are able to return to normal daily activities immediately.

Yes. LHALA utilizes LHA (Lipo-Hydroxy Acid), which exfoliates more gradually than many traditional peeling acids, making it suitable for many sensitive skin types. Every treatment begins with a professional consultation and skin assessment to determine whether LHALA is the most appropriate option for your skin.

Most patients describe LHALA as a comfortable treatment. You may experience a mild tingling or warming sensation while the peel is applied, but the treatment is generally well tolerated and does not require numbing.

Yes. LHALA helps improve acne-prone skin by gently exfoliating dead skin cells, reducing pore congestion, refining skin texture, and promoting healthy skin renewal. It may also help improve post-acne marks and overall skin clarity as part of a personalized treatment plan.

LHALA may help improve mild pigmentation and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) by encouraging healthy skin cell turnover. For more significant and deeper pigmentation concerns such as melasma or solar lentigos, your Skin Expert may recommend combining LHALA with treatments such as PicoSure Pro or YellowBeam for optimal results.

Absolutely. LHALA can be incorporated into a personalized treatment plan and is commonly combined with treatments such as Potenza RF Microneedling, PicoSure Pro, Glass Skin Booster™, Korean Water Glow Booster™, BabyGLOW™, or ExoFacial, depending on your skin concerns and desired outcomes.

To allow your skin to recover and maximize the benefits of treatment, we recommend avoiding makeup for the remainder of the day. Most patients can resume their regular skincare and makeup routine the following day unless otherwise advised by their provider.

For the first 48–72 hours after treatment, we recommend avoiding prolonged sun exposure, excessive heat, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools, vigorous exercise, exfoliating products, retinoids, and other potentially irritating skincare ingredients. Daily use of a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher is essential to protect your newly rejuvenated skin.

LHALA is generally suitable for a wide range of skin types, including many patients with darker skin tones. Because every skin type responds differently, a comprehensive skin assessment is performed before treatment to determine whether LHALA is the most appropriate option and to minimize the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Unlike many traditional chemical peels that focus primarily on exfoliation, LHALA combines gentle LHA exfoliation with proprietary ingredient delivery technology and barrier-supporting ingredients to renew the skin while maintaining hydration and skin barrier integrity. The result is healthier, smoother, and more radiant skin with minimal downtime and greater comfort during recovery.

Many patients notice brighter, smoother, and more hydrated skin within a few days of their first treatment. Improvements in skin texture, clarity, pore appearance, and overall skin quality continue to develop with a series of treatments as healthy skin renewal takes place.

LHALA is ideal for patients looking to improve dull skin, uneven texture, enlarged pores, acne-prone skin, mild pigmentation, fine lines, or overall skin radiance with minimal downtime. During your consultation, your Skin Expert will determine whether LHALA is the best treatment for your skin or if another treatment—or combination of treatments—would better help you achieve your goals.

Yes. LHALA® can generally be performed throughout the year, including during the summer months. Unlike many more aggressive chemical peels, LHALA is designed to support the skin barrier while promoting gentle skin renewal with minimal downtime. As with any skin rejuvenation treatment, daily use of a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher and limiting excessive sun exposure are essential to help protect your skin and maintain your results.

A typical LHALA® Korean Glass Peel appointment takes approximately 45 minutes. This includes skin cleansing, pore preparation (when appropriate), application of the LHALA solutions, neutralization, and the application of medical-grade finishing products to hydrate and protect your skin.

Yes. Because LHALA is designed with minimal to no downtime, many patients choose it before weddings, vacations, photoshoots, or other special occasions to achieve smoother, brighter, and more radiant-looking skin. For the best results, we generally recommend scheduling your treatment 5–7 days before your event, giving your skin time to develop its refreshed glow.
